Simca 1000 Ralley

The French car manufacturer Simca launched the Simca 1000 in standard design in 1962. In the spring of 1970, the 1000 Rallye model was presented. The car had the Special model’s stronger engine, the Sim4’s simple body, matte black hood, sports seats and full instrumentation.
In the spring of 1972, the Rallye 1 was replaced by a larger 1.3-liter engine. Six months later, the Rallye 2 was added with the engine from the 1100 TI, disc brakes all around and the radiator placed in the front.
The last 1,000 cars were sold in the spring of 1978 as Rallye 3 with an even stronger engine.
This modified model of the Simca 1000 Ralley is one of the Rallye 2 type.
